Default Steering Rack Surprise

In the process of getting all my fluids replaced the car went up on a lift and lo and behold... Dark red fluid dripping from the steering rack. No leaks in the garage prior. It just up and blew itself out that day. Guess I didn't need the power steering flush after all.

Had the dealer replace it and it seems as good as new! It is a bummer that it went out after only 6 years but at least I'm back to enjoying it all. I suppose I should stop driving it so hard.

I'm sorry to hear about that Mr.Johnson. It is a rare case to see the steering rack leak on the GS4.

Yeah that's what everyone said. I guess I was lucky that there were 3 racks in the area and I had one next day. If I get six more years out of this one I'll take it and count myself happy.
