Bad Ride...How do I tell if I need to Replace the Springs vs Struts (not air) LS400
Have a 1994 LS 400 with 170,000 miles and the ride feels very rough compared to when I bought it at 115,000 miles. When riding over small bumps in the road and going slow or even travelng at around 65mph over small circular hwy line divider reflectors, I feel every bump. Sometimes when I turn both left and right (usually hear this sound from the front) or even on start from a stop (usually hear this sound in the back), I hear what sounds like the tire rubbing (low decible kind of growl for just about 5 seconds) in front and back of car.The car lacks that smooth quiet ride that I had when I first purchased it used :-(
I have pushed down on the front and back of car to see if it bounces and there is virtually no bouncing so I don't know if it is the shocks/struts. Is there a way for me to tell or test if the Springs are bad and need to be replaced....and if I have Springs replaced would I need to replace the shocks.
Thanks for any suggestions or help.

i replied to your post in the other forum i dont know if you checked or just wasnt satisfied with tht response but if you feeling every bump you might have too much pressure in your tires or your shocks are bad the springs are not meant to spring they just support the weight of the car when you do the shock bounce test you have to push down real hard and the car should come back up once and then stabilize on the way down if it keeps boncing then the shocks are bad, but if i doesnt bounce at all they are also bad this would also cause you to feel every little bump b/c the shocks arew not doing their job
