laser alignment at lexus dealerships?
i just wanted to know if lexus dealerships did laser alignments? i called around indianapolis and not many places do them and the one of the places that said they did told me they couldnt do my car for some reason, but i took it to the lexus dealer and he said they charged 90 bucks.......and i asked him if it was a laser alignment and he said yes but he kinda hesitated which made me suspicious.....i know that is in the price range of what a laser alignment would cost....just curious if any knew if lexus dealers did them?
thanks

I think most dealers have a Laser alignment. Here in Mexico, I still see the old-style of alignment done. But both my local Toyota dealer (charges me about $39 US inlcuding the 15% sales tax) and the local dealer who sold me my tires (charges $12 U.S. with tax) have the laser alignment system.
My 99 RX is in their computer systems, but several other places have no Lexus do to the fact that it is not sold in the market. Sounds strange, but the bad roads here in Mexico City force me to do an alignment every month. One month of roads here translates into 6 months of American roads.

Most of the lexus dealership has the new Hunter Alignment machine. It's a better machines. It has 4 heads mounted into the wheels, the machines sending out a laser sign to the heads. Then it reflect the reading into the computer, that is how you get your toe, camber, caster etc..... reading.

For the lower car, You will have to do a custom alignment job. You can't follow the factory spec. There machine will let you know what angle is the tire at. For those of you want to get an alignment job. I would suggest that you have it done with this Hunter machine. It's worth all the MONEY!

There are a couple of other models besides Hunter. That LED alignment has been in use for several years. However, I am still fascinated by watching mechanics down here do the old type of alignment.
