Default Pricing

Is the LX570 pricing remaining pretty much the same from the current model?

I don't think anyone has heard anything substantive on the subject.

But pricing it around the current model, while providing more standard features, would the the smart way for Lexus to go. There is alot more competition in the space than there was when the previous generation was introduced, so they need to be somewhat aggressive, pricewise.

All I can say if I do get the LX, I am buying it in the US seeing I'll probably save god knows how much now seeing the US and Canadian dollar is almost at par.

Lexus LX470 (CANADA): $101,400 CDN (w/o tax - handling fee)
Lexus LX470 (USA): $71,197 CDN (w/o tax - handling fee)

I'll still have to pay duties at the border, shouldn't be that much about 14% probably. I'd still save $20k.

Crazy. I don't know why but I always thought cars were a little cheaper in Canada...

With my LS, the base price is $61,000 but all of the cars that come into the local dealership have $7,000 worth of options (all the things you would want). I realized that this will probably be true with the new LX also so this will put the pricing of the LX extremely close to the Range Rover which will make this a difficult decision for many.

How hard is it to decide? Reliable (Lexus) or something that will be in the shop 2x a month or even more (Range Rover)

Easy decision for you perhaps but for me it is not. Reliability is a factor but not the only factor by any means since I will lease this car and turn it over on a regular basis (if it has problems then they pick it up and give me a loaner).

The Range is a very nice car (especially in its styling) and is definitely worth considering.

Who has their order in for the 570? I cannot wait to see the 1st pics from CL Members who get their hands on it.

I still think the neatest feature about this truck is that it will lower itself at freeway speeds for better drag. I was a bit disappointed just before we bought out '03 that the truck did not do that above 15mph.

Well we have ordered the LX570 and hopefully will be the first ones to show you guys all the pics once we get it (Dec-07/Jan-08) The GSM at our dealership said that there will be a change in price but not that significant as thats what happened with the LS460. The production for our truck will be in the first batch which according to him will start in Nov-08
