My 03 LX470 sound system sounds so much better than my 01 LX470 sound system yet the speaker quantities, head unit and amp are the same.

Or are they?

Can anyone please tell me why the sound is different? We're talking day and night difference here. They both have Mark Levinson. My 01 sounds distorted at high volume and no highs like the 03 LX470.

All speakers are fine and nothing is blown.
