Default We Bought It

Hello everyone,
Thanks for all the advice! We bought a 1999 LX470 yesterday!!
We love it. It is Cashmeire beige and has 26,000 on it.
We ended up paying $42,000. Does anyone think that was a good deal?? They were originally asking $48,000.
We were the last sale of 2001, so we think they just wanted the sale to end the year. We live in Cleveland, most of these cars 1999's are going for 45,000-50,000. So, I feel like we got a good deal!

Congrats! Can't comment on Cleveland prices, but that's a pretty good price for the SF Bay area, I paid just a tad $$ more and ours has 10K more miles. Prices seem to hold steady and higher around here -- despite the huge number of used Lexi demand must simply be higher.

I thought it was a good deal, cause the Kelly Blue Book says $48,000 with that kind of mileage.
So, how do you like yours so far? I am really glad we decided on the Lexus vs. the Acura MDX. I heard next year HONDA is coming out with an SUV that is going to look just like the MDX. With that in mind, we went with the Lexus. We didn't want our SUV to be mistaken for a cheap HONDA!! Even though Acura is Honda...

Well, you can drive the Acura that looks like a Honda or the Lexus that looks like a Toyota [Land Cruiser]. The Toyota at least is damn expensive and rather exclusive in it's own right, which prevents most every soccer mom from driving one. Not that there's anything wrong with soccer, moms, or soccer moms -- actually our LX will see some duty in that regard.

I'm very happy with the vehicle and the overall purchase. Perhaps because it is new and different, I find myself making excuses to drive the LX vs. the GS. Maybe it's the weather.
