Be cautious with these. I put a set on my R500 and removed them after 3 months for cleaning, and they had left a long vertical stretch scratch at the contact point on all four doors. You may be better of with a clear film protector.

By long vertical stretch, do you mean residue? Were you able to get it off with some solvent, and did it take off any paint? Thanks.

I am betting it marked the finish. I had them on an RX several years ago and when removed there was a scuff mark the entire length of the edge that would not remove. They were only the RX for about three months.

Sorry....scratch, not stretch. Paint was scratched and neither I nor a detailer was able to remove it.

I can believe it though, I had two different styles of bumper protectors front and rear on my old ES and they did not want to come off. They were a different type of 3M adhesive rather than the clear kind on these.

Not sure what brand these were. They were applied by Lexus prior to delivery.

Mine came form chain parts store. They were clear, non adhesive, and were pushed in. Perhaps an adhesive one will not vibrate as much as do better. But I will never put on such edge guards again. The clear vinyl wrap material will do well however.

I am careful and never let my door edge hit anything. Have my own private parking space at my office that no one parks near and the HandiCap sticker takes care of the rest. No dents or dings on my doors for years now.
