Accidentally switch, new LX
Dear All,
I recently got a 2015 LX 570 brand new. It now has 112 miles. It was snowing heavily yesterday so I decided to try the L4 switch.
However, I forget to change the gear to N when I tried to switched back from L4 to H4, it was in D mode; The car still switched back to H4 but with a clunking noise. It bothered me a lot because I don't want to damage a new car like this. I won't do that in the future but do you guys think the car is seriously damaged today? It shows no sign of damage though.
Thanks
Jason

Not too much you can do to hurt it and I am sure you LX has suffered no hard. Lexus makes it so if you DO forget it will not harm itself.
Enjoy, only got 3500 miles on my 2015 LX.

I heard that the LX is a pretty solid card so hopefully it is OK!
Enjoy your LX too! But quite frankly, I still love my 06 ls430 better

Congratulations! I echo what Greg said. It should be fine. Unlike the previous LX470 and GX470, which had a shift lever, it is all electronic on the LX570, and I would expect the system to "not shift" if it were truly harming itself.
If you do want to play it safe, however, I would be happy to take the 2015 for observation and send you our babied 2010 with 42k miles
Enjoy your new LX!

Lexus Champion
That's about right my 2011 has 31k. Moving to Maui, doubt I will drive over 5k per year on the island. So in another 10 years I will have around 80k miles . So 14 years old with 80k miles, or 18 years old with 100k miles I have 130k miles on my 2005 LX470, should keep it and sell the LX570 but the 570 is so nice!!!
You have to open the thumbnail to make the picture right side up. I don't get it ??
