Warning "buzzer" for door lock, rear hatch etc.
Is there a way to turn off the warning buzzer (actually an electronic tone) that sounds right before the power rear hatch opens/closes, and before the 3rd row seats go up or down? The sound is quite loud and very irritating. If the sound can't be turned off (the dealer said it couldn't) does anyone know where the actually "buzzer" is so it can be muffled/covered?

I find it kinda irritating, too. But it is one of those safety things to warn people not to walk into the opening door or to get out of it's way. You got to realise that some sleasy laywers are just waiting for you to get injured! Maybe someone can determine where it is and pump it full of silicone caulk to quiet it down.

The tone is beyond irritating for my wife (it is her car) as she is very sensitive to high pitched sounds. My dog has problems with it as well. Any ideas out there will be welcomed.

It seems like the rear door tone is especially loud, even for old ears like mine. Maybe the source is in the rear door. I think it is the pitch as well as the volume, it should be more "mellow".

It is hard to get used to this annoying warning "buzzer" while you do sort of learn to expect it. I think this is far more annoying than it needs to be and definitely does not enhance the "luxury" part ot the LX570. I'll keep hunting for a way to cure it.
