ANO (another new owner)
Just bought a 2006 LX470 and so far, into my third day of ownership, I love it. It has 128K miles on it.
I noticed that there is a VSC or something similar that comes up without me turning it on. I haven't researched that yet. The gas mileage expectedly is not the best, but for a car that size, it sounds normal.
As a new owner what are some of the things that I should know/do? What features does the car have that are useful but may be overlooked?
Thanks for reading.

You can also plug her VIN in and get a report of any and all services done by a lexus dealer since she was new. As well as any recommended services that were declined by past owner(s).
I'd also check the series 100 newbies guide on sleeoffroad.com
I know of no one who's ever purchased an LX or LC with mpg in mind. They're 2.5+ ton trucks with V-8 engines and low gearing in the drive train. You'll probably see 12-13 mpg around town; 15-17 mpg maybe on the highway. My '01 LX mileage is a bit lower than that, but I drive with the ECT feature activated unless I'm in ice and snow.
