LX 450 Antenna
I have a 1996 LX 450 and the antenna mast is broken, specifically the white teethed cable is broken and stuck in the power antenna motor.
Is there an easy way to remove the rest of the cable from the motor or do I have to take the motor apart to retrieve the rest of the cable?
Also are there any aftermarket antennas that are stationary that I can replace the power one with?
Thanks.

If you don't mind can you explain how you diagnosed your problem?
My antenna won't go up or down anymore and I unplugged the motor because it would still run whenever I turned on the radio. I didn't look at the motor or mast in any detail as I did it on the fly but I am curious as to the solution to this problem as well.

I unscrewed the sleeve that holds the antenna in the power unit. Once I did that I was able to remove the antenna from the motor along with about 10 inches of the white teethed cable.
Since the replacment mast I have has a much longer white teethed cable I assume the rest of mine is still in the motor. However the motor is between the fender and the engine compartment and I can't figure out how to get it out with removing the fender. The dealer said it would cost $250 to do that.
