Just a thought but would it hurt anything if i switched over to the new Super Long Life Coolant (Pink)? Not sure if the parts guy is a idiot or not but he recommended it? They cost about the same just wondering if there would be any pros or cons to this switch? Reason I ask is i am planing on doing the timing belt water pump stuff eventually and since I will be draining the Coolant anyways was wondering if it would be worth while? Thanks In advance.

I don't know what the spec is on your model year, however a 2005 LX470 calls for Super Long Life (the pink stuff). I bought it pre-mixed (twice actually) when I did the timing belt. When you get around to doing the timing belt, let me know, I have a trick for getting the coolant pipe plugged back into the back of the water pump. Yes, replace the water pump.

Flushing out the old coolant and a water rinse in the middle would be advisable to be sure the old coolant is gone before putting in the new coolant. and yes the Super Long Life is the way to go
