Vibration for first few miles
#16
I have a 2011 with 55k miles and 19" wheels. I'm on my second set of Michelin Primacy MXM4 tires and have never experienced the vibration issue described by the OP with this car.

When I purchased my 2009, it had almost new Michelin Pilot tires on it. Vibrated like crazy at 70+ mph after 3 road force balancings at the Lexus dealer. They said the tires must be bad. They put a new set of Michelin Pilot tires on. Vibration a little better but still there at 70+ mph. After talking to Lexus regional people, they said the LS suspension is very sensitive and they have been having a lot of problems with the Michelin Pilot tires (by the way, I had 2 sets of these tires on my 2007 with no problems). They recommended going back to the original equipment tires (Bridgestone EL42). They ride better at 70+, but I still feel every possible road imperfection. Plus I have the issue of flat spotting when car has sat overnight.
I have driven LS cars for 10+ years and have never had one that had vibration issues like this one. No tire is perfect, and they need weights for balancing and even then they are not perfect. It really seems to me that there is something different with my suspension and it feels even the smallest imperfections, like flat spotting which normally would not be felt and any slightest road imperfection.
