what do you think of these Ls600h deals...
So ever since someone found a crazy deal for a Ls600h last month, I've been just keeping a lookout on some of them (not in a financial position to do anything but for the heck of it, having fun looking)
First one near Atlanta is a black on black with what looks like a 2008 Executive Class Seating Package (rear DVD, rear seat controls etc) correct me if I'm wrong..
100k miles for $26k, there is an accident in its history...

Second one is all the way in Tacoma, WA...a 2009 with almost 150k miles (first 100k miles was Lexus serviced) for $27k

Thoughts?

Strictly a newbie and don't have a Lexus (although I hope to eventually purchase a 2007-2009 LS460), so take this post with a grain of salt. I wouldn't buy a LS600h, even if it were at a decent discount, if the mileage were close to or greater than the maximum miles of the hybrid battery warranty. Also, I'd research the salability of a hybrid vehicle that was near or beyond the end of its hybrid battery warranty, especially if the mileage were very high.
I guess if you could find a reputable after-market warranty that would cover the hybrid battery and if that price plus the purchase price of the vehicle were within your budget, then that's a different situation. It really comes down to your appetite for risk, or as someone once said: "Do you feel lucky...."?

Seriously? Please stop already. It's embarrassing. You have nothing to base that on. The interiors are the same, the only main difference is the 5.0 engine, the transmission and the hybrid system. Haven't heard of any issues with the engine or transmission and 1 with the batteries.
Also I have now heard of 1. That's right 1 issue with the hybrid batteries in the 600h. The earlier thread tonight was the first time I've heard of an issue with the batteries. I wouldn't even consider that an issue if looking for a 600h.
As to the OP, that second deal doesn't seem so great. You can get a lot less miles for slightly more.
I look for 600h deals daily.

You guys are so emotional in here. Sorry to get your panties in a bunch... Actually, I base a lot of my opinions on articles I have read and looking at consumer reports as well as other sources. Again, just my opinion. Apparently it's hard for some to realize it's just an opinion and that's what a discussion forum is for. If you don't agree then feel free to tell me and everyone why. Otherwise, please don't rip me personally. That is what is truly pathetic and embarrasing.
Oh yeah, a $110,000 going for 25k now. Yeah, sounds like a great deal... There is a reason why they are depreciating so fast. Roll the dice. I'm just trying to tell the op what, in my opionion, is a better used LS. That would be my choice.

You cite Consumer Reports. I have not read ANYTHING in Consumer Reports to legitimie your claim, nor any other "source".
Emotional? Uhhhh...yeah. We're passionate owners of some very nice cars.....obviously passion and emotion are factors as a result. I doubt we're any more "emotiona"l or passionate than your fellow 430 owners...or for that matter ANY other car enthusiast forum on the net. If I trolled into your LS430 forum and said, "stay away from LS430's and get a 460 because they're better", is that responsible without adding any further info to base it on?
You can't be surprised by these responses, especially when you've been called on to back up your claims NUMEROUS times on other similar threads, to no avail. You state, "....that's what a discussion forum is for". It's not a "discussion", if it's diatribe and rhetoric.
