Technology advances in LS460
Since 2007, when the LS460 was a brand new car, what year did they improve the technology portion of the car? I am looking to buy a newer one (used) so I need to know what year they improved the nav/bluetooth/ etc...portion of the car.

2013 LS 460 nav/Bluetooth and technology is more advanced/improved/complex than the previous models.

When I bought my 2007 in that year, I boasted it was the most technologically advanced car, just edging out the MB S550 in my opinion. I haven't seen the 2015 models, but I can't make that statement today. It seems Lexus has stood still all these years. Maybe they even slipped as I think abandoning the touch screen is a regression.

Starting from 2010 the american ls460 can be optioned with apcs (with the driver attention monitor system), previously only reserved for the ls600 in 2008-2009 or also foreign ls460 (like in europe). The apcs option also give you the lane keep assist, previously only available for the non-hybrid ls in europe (and probably japan).

New LS for 2016/2017 - Full ground up redo
I do not thank this to be a rumor any more. Hope not because I plan to get a 2017. Latest info says it will be introduced in summer 2017.
I currently own a 2014 LS460 fully loaded and it is just great although I am a bit disappointed in some of the technology improvements to that model over my 2008 LS because it does not even offer things that the Kia and Hyundai have as standard features like Lane Departure warnings or a HUD. An interesting thing about Kia and Hyundai – the Kia 900 is a replica of a LS460 Base model (especially in length) and the Hyundai Equus Ultimate model is very similar to the LS460L long wheel base model with the Ultra Luxury Pkg.
