Removal of adhesive residue on dash
Hello all. I'm new to forum with a new-to-me 2011 LS 460 SWB. This is my third Lexus and second in the LS line.
Anyway, the previous owner must have had a phone mount or radar detector stuck to the top of the dash as there is some residual adhesive in a spot. The solid chunks are gone - just some tackiness in the grain of the material. I'm not sure if it's leather or synthetic which would impact what products I might try. Simply using some warm water was ineffective.
Does anyone know of a safe way to attempt to remove it without fading the color, or know what material it is?
Thanks in advance for any guidance.

I've found citrus-based products like Goo-Gone tread VERY lightly on most materials. Keep in mind they ARE a bit oily, so I don't use them on permeable materials (cloth, paper, suede, etc.) On impermeable surfaces, they're killer on diluting adhesive to the point where final residue is easily wiped off with soap and water (also gets rid of citrus smell which, unlike most, i find objectionable.) Good luck.

Say what? Toluene, acetone and methanol? What is the UPC number of this stuff? I'll be sure NEVER to buy any!
P.S. As far as I can tell, GG Extreme is no longer available through normal retail outlets.
