How bad is the 600h's trunk
#3
Its not too bad but you have more space in the backseat than the trunk to carry things. I have 1 12 in the right hand corner of the trunk and that took up 1/3rd of my space. And thats with me putting the amp in the spare well. It wasnt a big deal for me anyways I don't use it much.

Yup, that's why I like to take the Harley. My wife can bring less, and more importantly, she can buy less!

I don't care what folks say..the 600 trunk is small. I had a 460 and now a 600...major difference. 08 is smaller than 09+ trunks. For example, I can't put a 22 inch wheel with tire mounted in the trunk. .my 460 could easily handle that. The 600 trunk is good for duffle bags, carry on suitcases and golf clubs

It's bigger than my MINI...I'm OK with that!
CJitty is right, it's small for a big sedan like this. However, I see it as a trade off for all the great things this car has to offer. If you are a traveling salesman with a lot of sales materials, I could see where this would be a big issue. Think of how many times a year you would pack your trunk full...if it's more than you could handle, than a 460 may be in play for you. For me...it's maybe 2-3 times a year for a week long beach trip. Beach trips should consist of shorts, flipflops and a cooler of cold ones! My wife has learned to scale back her wardrobe and shoe collection on trips! If it gets crazy...we take the RX350.

I looked at a 2010 LS 460L the other day and my thoughts regarding the trunk size were that you would be hard pressed to put what some folks consider carry on luggage in it. Is the LS 600 trunk smaller than a LS 460L?

The 600 has a part of the trunk space taken up by the batteries for the hybrid system. So yes, the 600's trunk is smaller than the 460's trunk.

Yes the trunk is small compared to the rest of the car, but the amenities more than make up for it. For travel Im able to fit one large suitcase and two midsize carrying bags and maybe two small totes in there, which works perfect that way the wifey cannot bring the whole closet. So in essences its not bad at all if you are packing for two but for a family of four/five everyone has to be space conscious of what they are packing and to keep in mind to only bring what they really need. And if more space is need there is always plenty of room on the floor in the back gotta love the L leg room

600 trunk space is about the same as a 460L with executive class seating package, with a lump on the left side, (at least on the 2013 i just saw) making it slightly smaller but not much.

Just checked out an 08 600h today and thought that the trunk was a bit smaller than I would have liked. It may very well be something that I can ultimately overlook, but this particular example seems to have some unknown bodywork done, so passing on this one.
