ls 460 with 150k miles?
Last week i asked the forum whenever i should trade my 10rx for isf or not? well since then i have had a chance of heart. I am looking for an LS 460 now and have found a 07 ls 460 with 148k miles for 17 g with amazing service records, the previous owner serviced it at Lexus for every 5k miles since it's birth. Should i get it? I have test drove it and the car is awsome. Thank you to all.

I like the fact that the previous owner did all the service jobs at Lexus dealership and also I know that LS last long with minimum problems.
I would still pay less than $17,000 though

2000 ES300 - 200k - SOLD
1998 ES300 - 250K - SOLD
2000 LX470 - Almost 200k
2008 LExus ls600hl - 30k
2008 Lexus ls600hl - 170k -(Yes...170k... and it drives just as good and smooth as the 30k one)
These cars are bulletproof given proper maintenance. Drop the price down a little to maybe 16 - 16.5 and it'll be a steal.

The mileage wouldn't scare me. As to the price, I would plug in all the specifics on KBB, Edmunds and NADA and see what values you get.

Okay guys, let me update the story.
Case 1: the dealership offers 28k for my 10 RX and in the return i can't haggle the price on the ls460 which is closed to 18k + tax+ fee...
Case 2: Carmax offers 24k for the RX, and i can get the money and buy either a 05 ls 430 full loaded , 110k miles for 14.3 or 06 infiniti m35x full loaded with tech packages, 88k miles for 13.5 and both of these cars are from private sellers.
Case 1 will free up less than 10g in cash.
Case 2 will free up over 10g in cash.
All feed backs are welcome. Thank you very much.
BTW, the ls 460 had rear impact collision , no airbag deployed.

The LS430 will be the most reliable, if it was cared for of course. Considering nobody makes aftermarket body parts for the 430 even if it had minor rear end damage all the replacement parts will be oem. But I am biased. I love my 430. Infinity, while fun, will break down a lot more.

For me it's a toss up between the two LS models. I would go with which ever one looks best to you.

The Infinity is a totally different car compared to the Lexus 460 LS. My wife's car is a 2010 Infinity M35X with the same package. 48,000 miles trouble free. I drive my 460 for pure luxury and her car for when I want to hot rod.

i bought an 04 fx45 w/ 90k on it, half expecting it to be semi problematic. but i LOVED the body style and all the features, hp, torque, etc...
70,000 miles later (with about 160,000 on the odo) i sold the car. the ONLY repair I ever made to the car was replaced a bad wheel bearing. motor was solid, tranny solid, all electronics solid...
i'f I'm able to get my ls460 to 160k without replacing anything (other than routine service, battery, pads, etc) i will be surprised.

Exactly! When I had my Q45a along with the LS, that's how I chose which one to drive. The car was 16 years old and bulletproof. I only reluctantly gave it up because the winter road salt just took its toll.

I am leaning toward the Infiniti m35x as now since I live in Northern Va and we have snow , I am more confident with awd than rwd in the snow plus I am planning to get an m3 as the weekend car and the left over cash will help for sure.
