How much did you pay for an oil change
For the standard every 5K miles oil change, here are the quotes I got:
Lexus Dealer: $200
Toyota Dealer: $120
CarMax: $60 (I bought the car from them)
CarMax used Valvoline 0W20 Synthetic. I presume, Toyota ? Lex used the Toyota version.

Mine costs me $65 and I do it myself.
I'm sure Carmax used what ever is the cheapest oil they buy in bulk and I highly doubt they use synthetic at this price point.
In my opinion this oil is not at all good for these engines as they need a robust additive package.
If you want to save some money then I would get the oil changed at Toyota and have them put in 0W-20 synthetic oil and double your oil change interval to 10k miles.

It's best to consult the Lexus dealer for conformation but that is what I was told.

CJITTY, if they charge you $65, they're making it up somewhere else.

Normally I'm skeptical about oil that is recommended but after further research it's looking like the Toyota 0w-20 synthetic oil may actually be the best oil for this car based on it's tailored additive package.
Denso oil filters are also some of the best. It's good to see that Toyota doesn't skimp out on their lubricants and I like the fact that they are not over priced.

Oil Change Interval
I just talked to Lexus Service Advisor. I stand corrected. The mileage interval is now every 10,000. However, the frequency is still every six months. I know many of us do not put that many miles on our LS every six months, so we are still stuck with the more frequent changes.

Could be, but that's not impacting me...if you call 3 different dealers, you will get wildly different prices. I'm still using my $400 credit I received for my complaints about my purchasing experience at a dealership who messed up my paperwork and missed some stuff on CPO certification. I haven't "paid" for an oil change for about 1.5 years now as I have only used my credit specifically for oil changes

Paid $165 for an 0w-20 (amsoil synthetic) plus $20 for a tire rotation on my mother's '07 LS. I was stunned by the price but the place was a newer independent facility. It was neat and spotless and the tech invited me to watch him work. I'm recently retired from the auto service business but I didn't mention that. The tech did everything right. He set the lift at all the right lift points. Did the oil change with proper attention to the filter and not over tightening the plug. Even rotated the tires with the correct cross pattern and used a torque limiting stick on the air gun to tighten the lug nuts. Air pressure and under hood fluids done right. Sure the service was somewhat overpriced but it was so well done. There is some value in that.
