Steaming Music to 2009 LS460 w/Bluetooth
I really like Pandora Radio on my iPhone so I put together an inexpensive solution to stream music wirelessly from my iPhone to my LS460 via Bluetooth. I’m out of town away from my LS460, but can’t wait to try this out when I get home.
It's an inexpensive solution.
$50 Blackberry Bluetooth Gateway (ebay)
$13 Mediabridge High Output Dual USB Car Charger (amazon.com)
$5 StarTech 1-Feet Mini USB 2.0 Cable - A to Mini B (amazon.com)
It should be simple:
Plug the charger into the 12 volt in the center console
Plug the 3.5 mm stereo cable into the Aux input in the center console
Close the center console so everything is hidden.
Pair the phone and play away wirelessly.
The Blackberry oonly will stream music and not phone calls. The phone calls still should go to the car's ML radio via bluetooth.
The Mediabridge High Output Dual USB Car Charger has a second USB charger port that can charge an iPhone or even an iPad if needed.

THANKS, Ah, yes. Now I remember where I saw it. It was from your excellent picture in this thread;

I just wanted to post some details on what hardware is needed and where to source them.
I also own an SC430 with a Vaistech SL2i, iPhone adaptor. The iPhone cable is thick and bulky. I'm replacing the SC2i with a SC2U, with aux audio input instead of the iPhone cable. That way I can stream audio wirelessly via Bluetooth. I hate wires going to my phone.

Lexus Champion
I use mine everyday and love it! Even though it creates a little bit of anoying static, it's still decent for what it is.
I also use an app called Bongiovi DPS that lets you play whatever you have in your music library, but it kinda has a pre-made equalizer that makes the sound a bit better sounding, (at least to me it does).

Got home last night. 3 minutes after getting home I plugged it in and It works GREAT
lbintab, thanks for the recommendation and pictures.
I also just installed a VAISTECH SL2U in one of my SC430's. It provides AUX Audio input to the ML factory radio. I ran a 3.5mm stereo jack into the center console. It also has a power port in the console like the LS460. The same Blackberry solution works great in that car now.
I can listen to Pandora with NO MORE WIRES!

I just got mine, exact setup that is suggested here. Took five minutes to install, however, I am getting a buzz over the AUX sound and I have to turn volume way up (well higher than the radio) to get music. The buzz is not heard so much when music is going, but in between songs and silence spots, it can be heard and annoying. Anybody have that problem? Any fix?

I found the TSB thanks. Do you know if the new port is difficult to install? The fix is simple but getting to it may be hard if the console is difficult to take out or to get to the harness.

Bluetooth streaming
I combined the Vaistech SL3I with the Music Link ML-100 bluetooth dongle to stream music to the Car. In the SL3I simple mode u can also change songs up and down on the phone. You can find the ML-100 on eBay for ~$40. Works great! http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trks...at=0&_from=R40

I found the parts at my local dealer for the parts on the TBS. My local dealer matched the parts price from Sewell Parts. Installed the parts in about ten minutes, very easy. No noise buzz and better quality of sound through the AUX. This was alittle expensive, $200, but well worth it for me.
