PS Override - Installer?
Anyone know an authorized Chicagoland area installed for the Prestigious Society Nav/DVD override?
I emailed them but no response yet.
On the other hand do you guys think it would be a good idea to give it to a Best Buy geek squad guy to install? I'm having my other car (Camry) in tonight for a remote start install there.
It really seems like not such a big deal install from the instructions, but difficult enough to deter me from attempting it
Also, how much should I pay for an install?

cjcity, actually, I had never even heard of the over ride because I am a very recent member of this forum.. and yes, subsequently after posting, I did google it and emailed PS, they replied very quickly, even on the weekend. I actually know their local dealer.
Bit first, please get rid of that picture? Please? You don't have to edit your post.. but that picture.. yew! , Sports fan, I am not!
Do you have one installed?
I was reading FAQ on P.S. website. They mention a remote wired switch.
from their FAQ
"Will any of my navigation features be affected when the system is activated?
When our system is activated the map interface will be temporarily suspended. This is not an issue as the purpose of activating our system is to gain access to other interfaces such as address inputting or phone features. Upon completing your task, simply deactivate our system and the map will resume operation and most importantly the GPS will re-establish and recalibrate your position on the map interface."
So, we turn the switch on, enter the data and then turn switch off and let GPS take over? is that how it works? How about selecting one of 3 routes option? Is that still available, with the switch on?
Thanks..

Experienced installers know exactly how to pull out the clipped frames, without breaking the clips. They have proper tools (hopefully, they do it without creating a scratch).
