Brake dust on wheels....
Just picked up a 2010 LS460 on Friday......LOVE IT......but one minor thing...notice a lot of brake dust on the rims after 200 miles...any ideas or is it just something you live with....will that stop eventually??

Its called cleaning your car. It needs to be done at least once per week (waiting 200 miles it way, way too long). If you can't do it, then find a professional detailer in your area who offers basic wash/vac service. It will only get worse if you don't keep up with removing it, and as time goes by and you don't remove it, it will eat your wheels and permanently damage them. Another option is to install high quality ceramic brake pads, which will nearly end the dust. You will have to continue to clean the rest of the car, but there will be no brake dust.

I am very surprised to see this post. Is Lexus using different pads on the 2010 LS vs. the 2008 LS?
I find that I get significantly less brake dust on the front wheels of my '08 LS than I got on my Mercedes E320. I also get less brake dust on my LS than on my 2001 Corvette and I drive the LS in more stop & go driving than I do with the Corvette.

I get brake dust but nothing like what I got on the BMW. That was just awful!
I'm told the touring package brakes shed a bit more dust than the non-touring brakes but I don't know that for a fact.

well, put it this way, compared to my bmw, the ls430 still produce less dust obviously. but compared to all older lexus (which most people are used to), newer lexus produce tremendously more brake dust
