Where Do All The Stock Wheels Go?
I have been trying to find a set of LS460 stock rims for some time to mount snows on for next winter. For all the talk on this forums about people upgrading wheels, none of the stock rims end up in the for sale listings. Where do they go? How do I find some stock rims removed from a 460?

I did the swap at the dealer. They charged 1500.00 for the swap. There are some on Ebay for less. At the time, the car was new, I had to wait a few months for them to get a set to trade...
I think they look good...

Keep checking eBay, and also Craig's List (no relation to Craig B here, I think! ).

There is a set of four wheels on Ebay now for only 199.00. Type in LS460 for your search. If you type in LS 460, you won't find as many in your search for some reason...
Good luck!

Thanks for the help. I bought the rims from ebay. I'll report back when they arrive. I assume the TPMS modules will be removed. Any issues using these without them other than I will not get TP on the dash?

Had my spare out of the car for several days while it was being repaired. Big, annoying, orange TPMS warning light in the gauges along with another even more annoying TPMS error message in the driver display area. I don't know if the dealer can turn TPMS off. I wouldn't want to look at that for 4-6 months.

I wonder if the sensor was removed, damaged or otherwise tampered with. Let us know.

Nothing wrong with the sensor. When TPMS can't read all 5 wheels - i.e. you left one at the tire dealer to be repaired and drove away with only 4 wheels - TPMS complains about it. Takes about 20 minutes before it complainsed the first time, then only a couple minutes on the following restarts.
