Side Coin Tray
Hi All
I had to force my left side coin tray out and now it won't stay back in. I suppose the clip broke and they say I have to replace the entire thing. Anyone know of a work around or where the actual clip is located?
Thanks

Fixing LS 430 Coin tray
I fixed mine. I removed the coin tray and formed a "new" hook with epoxy and a piece of a Popsicle stick. Use painters tape to mask off area, epoxy and sand to shape (I used nail filer). It's been working perfectly for 6 months now. I believe its just 2 8mm nuts to remove coin tray that are accessed on bottom of tray. I'll try to post pix.

Just open your tray as I showed in the picture and push the button that opens tray. You will see the hook arm move up and down. iIf the arm doesn't have a a hook on the end then the arm is broken. You have to look closely at the end of the arm. It should look like a solid letter "J" on its side.
If I remember correctly the pin on the inside where the trim goes is metal and unlikely to break.

On mine it was just the hook tip on the tray that broke off. Just open your tray as I showed in the picture and push the button that opens tray. You will see the hook arm move up and down. I didn't replace the hook / arm. I just epoxied a new tip on the end. You will need to remove tray assembly to make repairs but you won't have to remove arm to repair. I believe the pin on the inside is metal and unlikely to break.
