Default Red Out the Amber in my '03 ls430 tails

I'm on the fence with this decision of redding out the amber blinkers. It definitely looks better than stock but I was thinking of tinting the white/clear part on the inner piece of the tail light. I wish I could just red out the whole tail light. I think that would look the best but don't want to risk danger from not having reverse/back-up lights.
Any thoughts or opinions?

Hey man I'm new here, but what about installing the 04-06 LED tails. I'm not sure if they swap right in but maybe a thought? Think they are all red lenses as well. Good luck!

What I really want is the aftermarket LED's that are made for 01-03! That way I wouldn't have to do any extra work, especially wiring! But, the only place I can find them is on the Japanese Amazon (suggested by another member) and I cannot figure out how to purchase them because I cannot translate the pages.
I have read a few different things about the retrofit for the 04+ tails. I know for sure that I would have to rewire the harness. Also, some say that you have to replace the trunk lid as well and some say it's not necessary. I'm not sure.
The OEM 04+ tails are definitely the best LOOKING option for sure though. Very nice!

I'm pretty sure 04-06 plug right into 01-03. Only thing is you will get a tail lamp failure light

04-06 tail lights do look very nice.. However I wish I could find an aftermarket LED version for my 04'.

The main reason is say this is because the outer passenger side tail light flickers here and there..Sometimes it's completely fine though.. The worst part is you can't just replace the LEDs or repair it. Nope, you need to replace the entire outer lens and housing. If I do replace that piece, I'm just gonna have to hope and pray the other ones don't start failing as well... (Which is of course inevitable)

Just that one outer piece costs $200... Sheesh. It does look phenomenal, funny how such small details like this make a huge difference on a car... Especially when the LEDs are lit up at night time. I only wish the turn signals were also LED.

PS: I'd keep it looking the way that it is. All red just won't look right on your car (IMO). I'm sure there are more aftermarket options for your car if you look around. Look into buying yourself some nice LED 194 license plate bulbs and you'll be set.

The 04-06 taillights do not fit the 01-03. You have to upgrade the bumper and I think the trunk lid also.

The amber strip on the '01 - '03's just look old to me so a few years ago i bought some after market LED's from a company in California with a clear strip. It was plug & play so relatively simple to make the swap and it instantly updated the looks on my '02 so much that I think they look better than the stock ones on my '05.
The trouble with the swap is that after a period of time, the computer which looks for circuit troubles on the car began to detect the lower voltage draw of the LED's and so kicked off the "Tail Lamp Failure" light on the dash along with the related chime. It annoyed the living hell out of me for awhile but now I've gotten used to them and don't even hear it anymore. Of course the company that made the replacement is no longer in business.

I agree that the 04's - 06's will not fit as a replacement as there are trim differences.

Consider adding an inline resistor to each side of the tail lights equal to the wattage of the OEM incandescent bulbs.
