BuZZing Sub-Woofer
My 2002 LS430's Sub-Woofer just started to Buzz. My thanks to the folks that have pointed out how to get to and remove the Sub. Also found a good replacement for $8 but it doesn't work for the UL so I'm out of luck there. Learned about re-foaming the speaker and watched it on You-Tube.
and the nice folks at Simply Speakers.com have kits so you can re-foam your Lexus speakers for under $30. http://www.simplyspeakers.com/lexus-...edge-kits.html
Just bought my kit. I'm about to replace my rear air shocks so while I've got the rear seat out I'll fix my Sub-Woofer as well.
Enjoy

$8 sub
The UL has a cooler behind the center armrest, where the std. version has a access hole to the trunk. So that $8 speaker is just a bit too deep (1/8 or 1/4 inch) to fit in the space. There is no clearance issue with the std. model and I hear it works quite well.
