Navigation - Reset Destinations/Map Version
The navigation system in my new to me '03 LS430 has many, many destinations entered and all presets filled. I would like to wipe out all this data so I can start fresh with my locations. Is there an easy way to do this or do I have to some how delete each location manually?
Also, is there a way to tell what version of the maps are used short of taking the disk out? I am considering asking for the newest version for Christmas (v 13) as I am assuming the disk might be the original. I have discovered that I cannot enter addresses in while driving, only when in park.
Thanks...JK

Yes, you can easily reset all the previous destinations by pressing on the option button, information and then you'd find the edit button for previous destinations, you'll see a reset button. Tell me if you don't find it, so I double check it in my car. And for accessing the maps while driving, sadly that can't be done, you have to be stationery for you to be able to enter an address, maybe try the voice command? There used to be an over ride so that you could access all the features while the car is moving, but that option, or hack has been removed due to safety reasons. All luck.
Edit:
I just checked my car. Press on Menu >> My places >> Edit.
Good luck.

If you're in 2.1, the unlock is when in volume screen, press the top left corner, bottom left corner, then top left again and hold. Then a screen with multiple ootions will come uo. Press the Override button and the Nav override will allow you to input while driving. The works for nav gen 4, not sure if same for your gen 3. Try it.
