Default Documentation

Is there a way to get documentation for your older Lexus? I would like to get a copy of my 2002 LS 430 original window sticker. There is an aftermarket place that does this for Buick Grand Nationals. Is there something like that available for us?

I guess you could make your own "window sticker" if you have computer skills using the information at http://www.lexus.com/contact/pdf/2002/2002LSspecs.pdf

But why? OK, each to his own.

Default What have I got?

I am guessing that I have a base 2002 LS430. The options must be only the heated rear seats and Moon Roof. I didn't see any packages that had only those 2 so I'll have to assume that they were ordered as individual options with nothing else. I did see a package for the ML stereo and heated F&R seats with the Moon Roof. I do not see Levinson on the stereo. It says Lexus Preimum sound system. It has a 6 CD changer and no NAV. Could this possibly be a ML stereo?

Yes, you have a typically optioned car - the kind dealers "pre-ordered" and kept on their lots to appeal to the largest number of cost sensitive customers -- somewhat like the "spec houses" that builders put up to appeal to a mass market.

But what you have is not bad at all -- a bit less to go wrong in a still wonderful car.

Default Mark Levinson

How does one tell if there is a Mark Levinson stereo in the car? Does it actually have Mark Levinson labels? Did it only come with a NAV or could you get it without?

All premium Lexus audio systems - whether the earlier Nakamichi or the later Mark Levinson - are clearly labeled on the front of the radio or navigation head unit.

A Mark Levinson system was available in the LS430 with or without navigation as indicated at the link I provided above.

The link I gave you applies only to LS430 models for the USA. Equipment packages in Canada were different.
