Not sure about the synthetic, but anything penzoil should not be put in a Lexus.

Interesting statement....please provide link us to any direct articles or reports regarding current Pennzoil issues.

If you change your oil every 3k, that is more than sufficient for any oil. If you change every 5k, than a better oil brand should be used. If you're going to push to 10k, then better use full synthetic.

I do DIY oil changes so I use synthetic and change every 5-6k.

Just use the correct grade of oil and change it according to the owner's manual and you won't have any problems.

If you want to sleep better, always use castrol edge 5w30 , its the best stuff.
