Wish I had found this thread earlier....
The amp on my '02 started to cut in and out just about the same time that my sub started farting so after doing as many searches on this forum as I thought I could do (one hell of a lot of reading) I found a re-conditioned amp at an east coast Lexus dealer and they wanted $750 + exchange which I thought was better than a new one. So the radio is playing again but now I have to do the silicone job on the sub to stop the farting.
This is one of those expensive repair items that I suppose we have to belly up to when owning these fine cars.
My '05 is still under CPO till the end of the month so I'm thinking of taking it into the dealership and complaining about the amp. =))

waijai, you might want to give the folks a call at Electroics Master in Duluth, Ga. They have the re-built ones in stock right now.
BTW, does anyone know if the '01 - '03 amps were more problematic than the '04 - '06 ones?
