I have a 2001 LS430 which I absolutely love. I recently updated the NAV DVD and it's been working fine until a few days ago when I was using the voice commands to plot POIs.

I don't recall what I did or in what sequence, but now the POI button is greyed out on the main map screen and the majority of the buttons on the destination screen are greyed out as well, so I can't enter desired destinations or plot routes.

Has anyone had this problem before?

I've unhooked the negative battery terminal and reconnected it in hopes that it might reset the system and give me access to these features. No dice.

I've also looked through the NAV manual and couldn't find any way to reset the system back to factory settings or any other info that could help.

Anyone know of a workaround for this?

Any and all help is much appreciated. I have a car trip coming up in early October, and I really would like to have my NAV for it; Google maps stinks.
