ND also makes a new Tough plug. It is designed for extreme long term use.

After changing the plugs, my car seems to idle much faster.
It idles at 2k on a cold start. Does that seem high?
I believe it used to idle at 800.

The idle is computer controlled. Plugs will not cause a change in this.

clean your t/b then disconnect your battery for 10 minutes to reset your ecu, then you will be good to go.

haha... "take 5 lbs and lift it a few times..." crazy. Just tighten by touch, you won't get it right without a torque wrench anyway. Also, using 5 lb to gauge, your wrench would not be a foot long so you would have slightly less torque anyway. So if you need to tighten a nut to 80 lb*ft, just lift a 80 lb weight a few yes...
