Stock wheels-strip the clear, sandblast and re-paint?

My stock 1999 LS wheels are in a bit of a rough shape, can I strip the clear, sandblast and re-paint? What would you do?

yep that works fine. If you want some more longevity out of them you could just have them powdercoated
