My LS failed the safety inspection and garage says my turn signals need to be on at night time. Can someone verify that front turn signals are constantly on with lights on? I guess like parking lights? Lights work when I use turn signal, just doesn't stay on like parking lights. I replaced the bulbs (7440) on both sides and no difference.

i'd go to a different garage probably, because it's the side marker lights that turn on with the headlights not the turn signals

Yeah the turns are only on when you activate them.

Idiot mechanic says all forward facing lights need to be on at night. Since turn signals are facing front...

yep he is incorrect. 7440 are single filament bulbs too! get another inspection at another shop!

also make sure your side markers (amber ones on the side of the bumper) are functional (on with parking lights).
