Rear bearing howl ?
I've been reading and still have yet to find a way to replace a rear hub on my ls400.
I have had this vehicle a few weeks and have been absorbing any noises... to get her back to "ship shape"
WellI I have a shallow sounding howl from the right rear. Went to Dealer and was informed that the noise was diagnosed a while ago for previous owner..... as a wheel bearing R&R needed...I'm sure it needs the hub as well...scored if the bearing is needing to be replaced
not sure however I would like to take it apart / out and replace with a new unit ( hub and bearing)
I have searched Ebay as well as RockAuto...and various other parts Whse
Can some one help... I dont have a press but can do R & R.

Bearing noise LS 400 1997
Thanks for reply....thinkin I will have to take to a shop..
Your last comment on the year of my montero....dont have one
post is for my 1997 LS400 ! Diagnosed at dealer to need a wheel bearing
Im hoping a second opinion at another shop/dealer reveals (optimistic) a cheaper solution
If it comes to that...the year of car and the fact I want to keep it for a long time....I might
just replace from differential out... would that be just a waist of money?
