I would quickly check the belt timing and the distribution order of spark plugs.
Are you fully confident what you have done?

Made them public. Last night i tore it apart couldent even get the belt lines to match up with cam gear marks. It seems it jumped a gear while putting it back together the 1st time. This time i used clamps on cam gears. I adjusted the belt to get the tension right but had no markings. Shes running better had no lights idling but when i drove it got missfires n backfires again. Thinking i need to tear it apart and get all the crank n cams where they need to be and put the belt on. Anyone have any good pics or info on where exactley i should position the crank n cam gears before putting belt. The marks on the cam gears arent even clear to me if anyone has a pic of those. Thanks . Its a 95 ls400

Took apart again its way off when my cam gears are both where yours are in the picture or at least close to it my crank pulley is of to the left by about 75deg. Does anyone have the exact angles each marking should be only thing i can think of at this point is set them up with a protractor and then put the belt on

you are making it hard.... line your H/balancer on TDC before you REMOVE it and then line up your cams, put the belt on and hope you haven't bent any valves...
At this point, you should be looking only at the marks on the sprockets and engine brackets. As long as these align along with the 0 TDC on the crank, you are good.

forget about the marks on the belt, look at the photos, (NOT the marks on the timing BELT), align the timing marks (notches) up with the MARKS BEHIND the pulleys [BLACK PLATES WITH a RAISED BUMP] (only turn the pulleys clockwise)..

Viper, there are metal brackets on the engine, one behind each cam (see Billys photos). You should turn your engine, by hand, (clockwise only) until you see one or both of the cams lined up. When the indent in the cam sprocket(white mark in Billys photo) aligns with the marker in the bracket, then the cam is aligned. Disregard any belt markings at this point.
When one cam is aligned with its bracket, the other cam *should* also be aligned with its bracket on the engine AND the crank pulley mark should be at TDC. If this is not the case, take an picture and post it for us.
