i always buy 6 quarts, put 5.5 in and run the car for a few minutes. shut it off and wait for the oil to drip back down and top off as necessary. it all depends on the filter as some are bigger than others.
I just drained my oil and changed the filter. I let the car sit and jacked up the drivers side some to make sure alk the oil was out too. It took almost 8 quarts to get it up to the to line on the dipstick.

that's way too much O.o. more than even the dry fill capacity of the sump.
Your right the car is still parked in the same spot and there is a slight decline to the curb. I'll check it in level surface. Guys I'll have to drain some of that out of there.
