New Owner '95 ls400
I am a proud new owner of a ls400 black with tan interior. It has 161k and has been well serviced.
I do have a few questions. Any help would be appreciated.
1. Stereo needs help. From what I've read replacing head unit is a real pain. It is not the nakamici system, just the standard...no cd changer either. I want a modern unit that looks decent and has an aux input.
2. Antenna is broken off...am stations don't come in.
3. Any advice on where to get oem floor mats?
I'm super excited and will post pics soon.

Welcome, please familiarize yourself with the FAQ stickies for your model at the top of the forum.
1- beatsonic harness or buy a separate sub amplifier.
2- not a question.
3- a dealership. Specifically try Carson Toyota (l-tunedparts.com) or Sewell Lexus, both are forum sponsors and offer solid discounts.

the antenna mast itself can be replaced for cheap.

this is for a 1st gen but the instructions are the same. this is assuming your motor is still operational.

Sorry about #2 not being phrased in the form of a question.
Antenna is broken, is it a reasonably easy fix? Do I need it to pick ip am on a new headunit?
Is there a cheaper option than beatsonic? Those are steep.

If you skip the amp get this one.

I say get a double din stereo fill in that space.
By the time you by a new amp and run new wiring to install it you might be very close to the cost of the beatsonic. So i went that direction and am very happy.

you don't have to get a beatsonic, if just replacing the head unit, if you are electronically inclined, a new separate sub amp will do the trick, or you can skip the sub altogether (but that would be sad)
on the antenna, yes, you will need a new one to receive AM, but at least installation is easy
you can try the dealerships that PureDrifter recommended, but these floor mats are discontinued, so you will need some luck to find a pair they forgot they had - keep a watch on ebay, they turn up from time to time as new, a couple of times/year on the hard colors
what will make a huge difference is what color you need, certain colors are like trying to find gold, and certain colors there are still old stocks of at online dealerships
Nah, in the car stereo world, this is one of the easier ones!

From what I've read replacing head unit is a real pain.
