Default Another Tranny Mount Question

I understand that this appears to be a pretty straight-forward thing for the DIY'er. (apparently lots of bolts to remove!) but I'm trying to find out if there are any exact visuals/pics on how to do this repair. Sorry if this has been asked before, but I didn't find it while doing a search, though hopefully I overlooked it. Thanks as always!

Unbolt the aluminum bracket from the chassis then the mount should be connected to that and the trans unless the mount is bad bad and separates. un bolt it from the trans or bracket.. You'll figure it out.

Its like legos. Just pay attention and remember how it came apart.

when you get down there, you'll see it's pretty straightforward. i have yet to do mine so i'll be taking pics for future folks. you're right this really isn't that well documented, because it really is that simple (like an oil change).

Simple aid to help trans mount R/R

Blue is connected to trans (4 bolts)

Green is mount to bracket (4 nuts)

Red is connected to chassis (4 bolts)

The colors correspond with location on the bracket. If you can't figure this out... Highfive! good luck!

my only concern is where to prop the trans up while the mount is off. lift at the tailshaft? obviously the pan is a bad idea to put the jack on.

I put a 2x4 on a stand on the pan when it was on the lift. When I did my motor mounts I did the same on the engine oil pan.

The pan can take the weight spread out. Most cars do.

almost a year later, i finally did this job. i did use a piece of wood and a jack (as seen in the background) under the transmission pan to hold everything up. here is how my mount looked after 150k.

part number pictured, upon unbolting the old one separated!

comparison

vibrations did minimize but are not completely eliminated. next is to save up and do the motor mounts.
