Exclamation New to clublexus... I got a killer deal!

Hey everybody, I just created my account last night knowing I was going to purchase my LS400 today. The guy was originally asking $3,000 obo, and I was keeping in contact with him for nearly a week, trying to come up with the money. I am in the process of selling my 240sx, and was really looking forward to the LS. I was checking the local CL daily, and saw that he had lowered the price to 1200 obo. Long story short, he ended up calling a scrapyard and they were gonna come pick it up for $500. I offered him $600 and he took it! there's only a few things wrong with it, but hell I think I got a great deal. It still drives great and just needs some TLC, which I have plenty to offer... can't wait to become a regular here!

the power steering is leaking, it's wet around the pump. little things like switch to power seatbelt on the passenger side.. and the rear doors don't unlock with the switch. i have another car, so i'm not going to be driving it until it's fixed.

check timing belt status asap, the 95+ cars are all interference motors so if its >90k you're taking a significant risk of destroying the motor.

other than that welcome to CL and please remember to search

That's a great deal since you have a good base to start with. You can have a near new car after about $3,000 in TLC.

congrats...just make sure to do ALL the maintenance first to get it going. Regardless of how tempting it is to start modding.....rule of thumb, get your car running at its best first before spending mula on misc stuff.
