ls400+snow=broken wheel+wheel bearing
driving to work this morning was an adventure after the ton of rain we got then adding all the snow and freezing temps it was a mess and then having to get off the high way on the off ramp they didn't plow landed me sliding sideways across the street and nailing a curb on the other side of the road and braking a huge chunk off one of my wheels and damaging the wheel bearing, luckily these come with a 5 alloy wheel but now I am out a spare.
as far as I can tell for now that is all the damage that I did but I am not sure yet
ps will post pics tomorrow

car is a 91.
I am running pretty slim allseasons, but the biggest issue was that I got off the higway on an off ramp that had not been plowed or sanded under the 3 inches of snow was a 1/4 inch layer of ice and was just all bad cause two four wheel drive trucks did the same thing as me after I parked.
Like I said though when I bought the car it had a 5 alloy in the trunk so I was able to swap that over the same day, the big issue now is that I am having an alingment issue at speed I had a darting issue going down the highway today, I am nervious that there may be a bent component in the front suspension

If you're interested in original 91 rims, with Michelin Pilot Exalto all season tires, that have about 3k miles on them, PM me. I'm near the NH border on the Portsmouth coast.

I'm not sure what you're talking about, that's an amazing situation! Exiting off of a highway, sliding on ice, out of control, and thats all that happened!?
(Trying to make lemonade out of icy lemons.)
I know if that was me, oh lord, I'd be upside down, on fire, broken everything, etc.
No matter what, we can all agree on two things, we're glad you and the car are alright, and that winter sucks!

In which case you're biggest issue is tires. There's a very good chance you wouldn't have hit anything if you had snows on. The other trucks that followed your example don't mean anything. Truck owners are usually the first in a snow bank anyways.
Moral of the story is put snow tires on.
