Default How do I install the Goodyear wipers bought at Costco?

Has anyone installed these windshield wipers on an LS400? I can't see how any of the installation illustrations included work for this car. A friend and I messed around with them and looked at the plastic parts included but were unable...

The wiper type is non-OEM and looks like it replaces the whole metal wiper part which, as far as I can tell, is non-detachable from the arm.

Here's another thread on the forum with a photo of the wipers so you can see the packaging.

Remove the plastic clip from the old wipper, and use it on the Goodyear wipers. I just did mine.

I guess I just don't see how to remove the plastic clip without breaking it. Does Should it be pushed down or up? Maybe it should break.

I actually returned mine to costco last week. The drivers side blade did not sit flush with the window and had a akufgr 'bow' in it that left a 3 inch wide / 1 foot long area that didn't get wiped right in front of the driver. Very distracting.

Went to Advance and bought the #2 consumer reports rated blades (rain-x) instead. The #1 rated Valeo don't seem to be made for our car.

My wife broke the old clip on our previous Michelin wipers taking them off so we had to use one of the little hook pieces in the plastic bag for the drivers side (the other three of them were for very different wiper devices)

Hmm.... Anyone have an opinion for the best wipers for the first gen LS? I've been using OEM. Over on the RX threads, they seem to recommend the Bosch Icon. Any thoughts?

my 2 personal faves are the OEM inserts (they're graphite from factory!) and PIAA Super Silicone blades (hard to find but last a long time)
