Funny warning light
After doing a brake job on my 91 LS 400, a circular warning light came on in the lower right hand corner of the cluster. It's circular with broken lines on either side of the circle. Can someone identify this and how do I reset it?
I appreciate your help; I don't know if it's a safety issue. The car brakes fine.

How serious is this issue? I've seen it before on a LS400. Easy to figure out which sensor is the issue? Or if not the sensor what particular ABS component is acting up?

i'm new here, but i've had the same light on my 97 for a while now, but mine happened when my rear passenger tire popped, i want to know the answer too!
the manual says its some "brake pad wear limit warning light"... (scratches head)...

Yes, it is the brake pad wear limit warning light. If yours has come on, it's either defective, or your pads have reached the point where Lexus wants you to have them replaced. It will require replacing the sensor as well. Unless you can figure a clever way out to trick the sensor.

I just recently had all of my brake pads (front and rear) replaced and that particular light is on. Does this mean that the sensor is bad? Is there any way to reset it, to know for sure?

Yeah, I think if your ABS was malfunctioning, you would have the ABS light illuminated. But for sure, that circle with the broken lines is the brake wear sensor indicator. When I changed my pads, I unplugged it to see what it would do and the light came on. When I plugged it back in, it went off. The sensor is located on one of the right front brake pads.

600 miles of driving and looking thru threads while tired will do that to you. I was looking at diagrams and looking at the pad wear sensor, meaning to type that as well, but came out as ABS. Reminds me that I need to be more careful when checking threads dead tired. LOL!! apologies. Pad wear sensor is the correct answer. It may have gotten pinched or broken when you changed the brakes. In some cases you can disonnect the battery to try to reset it, but in most cases you would have to replace the sensor. It is not an expensive fix.

I'm interested in getting my pad wear sensor replaced or fixed, so that it doesn't illuminate on the dash anymore.

yea i'd prefer to find some way to just reset it, i could care less about it since i keep up with my brake pads myself, i'm just like lsportline, the light really bothers me hahaha
