Opinion on this tie rod
I found these tie rod ends and was wondering if anyone tried them. I now they look cheaply made, but I'm not on bags or slammed and I kind of drive my LS like a grandma. I also know you get for what you paid for. I just want your opinions.

When I see "lifetime warranty", I usually can anticipate them failing sooner than expected. If you install them yourself, it's no big deal but considering it also entails an alignment... I'd rather buy the spec part from one of the vendors like Carson and have the confidence in getting a quality part.
Might think...it's simple, not much to go wrong but just say: this manufacturer used lower grade steel, had the threads cut with poor tolerances. You then mate it up to the tie rods, it doesn't thread right or has excessive tolerances that getting a precise alignment is challenging. You find out the hard way when your tires wear funny.

All the parts fit perfectly like they should. I ruined my mom's ls400's tie rod ends when i changed out the ball joints(same brand karlyn). I decided to use these. They seem pretty solid. Considering my mom only drives about 8k a year i decided to take the risk.
Suspension parts can really add up. Now i think the UCA bushings might be going bad along with weak strut mount cushions/bushings.
she's oblivious to the defects though. The car starts and runs comfortably, looks good, and everything still works. Sometimes we just have to be content with good enough

at 12 bucks I would try it. As far as the threading when you are putting it on you should be able to tell if it is correct. Only issue would be strength and that is a safety issue. As far as aligment make sure you measure the distance/ position of the old tie rod and put it in the same location and assuming it is currently aligned correctly you should not have an issue. If you want complete peace of mind then buy lexus brand.

I have purchased awhile back a set of steering boots, inner and outer tie rods for my corolla at Autozone and they all have lifetime warranty. After about 2 years of doing autocross, canyon driving, hitting curbs...it felt the steering was a little loose so I decided to replace all the above mentioned parts last week with a new set for FREE. Now it's back to its responsive feel.
Hooray for lifetime warranty!
