Question Has anyone de-badged LS430?

I'm thinking about partially de-badging my LS430. I'm planning on taking off the "Lexus" and "LS 430" emblems off the trunk and leaving the circle "L" alone. Do I need to worry about having to fill in alignment pinholes, or are these emblems glued without any alignment pins? Thanks in advance for any info!

I would think they could be removed easily, as Lexus dealers sell gold replacement badges. I'm not sure what holes will be left as my LS430 service guide (Vol.2) doesn't show it.

If you don't mind me asking, what is your reason for removing the badge(s)? Do you think it would look cleaner?

this prolly won't help u too much, but when i removed the emblems on my 92 SC3, every emblem left holes, but when i removed the emblems on my dads 99 GS3, there weren't any holes (i only removed the GS300 emblem, but none of the other emblems:LEXUS and the L have holes either) Mabye Lexus has stopped using pronged emblems and have just gone to glued on emblems. If u do remove the emblem though and there are holes, i woiuldn't worry about it too much, b/c when i removed the emblems on my SC300 and found holes, i decided taht instead of getting the holes plugged, i would just buy some new silver ones, so i just stuck them back into the holes and i drove w/ them like that for 1 week, then my new emblems came in. So my advice would be to remove them, and if there r holes just put the emblems back in and find someone to plug the holes.

i also forgot to add.....u can always find out by heating up the emblem w/ a hair dryer and then when u can pull just a lil of the emblem off, slide some dental floss in there and try to run it across the back, if u don't get to far in, and the dental floss stops and won't go any farther, then u can prolly assume that ur emblems have prongs.
