Exclamation OMG Fing top L & R turn signal lights

I spent the past 45mins trying to remove the top right and left turn signals to switch out the bulbs on my 98LS. I cannot get these Fing things to pop out and I searched the forum for better ways to do it but I already ruined the rubber surrounds on the lens and managed to put some scuffs and minor tiny dents in the paint... This is insane!

the front or rear?

For the rear the bolts are hidden behind the carpeting.

Oh these are the infamous front top left and right turn signals. If you ever tried to change the bulb on the 98-00 you know what I'm talking about. I'm miffed on how to really get them out without breaking them. I can't believe how hard it is for a turn signal housing to change the bulb. CRAZY!

You're talking about the corner lights right? take the top screw out and put a screwdriver through an opening against the back of it and tap it with a hammer until it starts coming out. Then just grab it with your fingers and pull it out. Yea they're a PITA sometimes.

Yes it is the corner lights. I purchased these 7440 3 watt luxeon LED bulbs to ditch the amber bulbs. These will still light up amber but look much nicer in the housing along with being brighter. I'll take some pics when I'm done if I can ever get them out.

took me <5mins/side last time i changed the bulbs out.......

you DID take the screw out right...oh, and the bulbs in the corners arent amber, there is an amber lens that you will have to break if u want the clear look

now those bumper side markers, THOSE are a PITA to change out...

Yea these are FRONT not rear tail lights and I did remove the little screw. I'm going to try the screw driver tap out idea later today when I get home from work and see what I might break haha

DIY LS400: The screw driver idea worked great! I used a skinny screw driver without any tip in the end and started tapping away lightly until it seemed pretty loose.

Since I'm new to LS400's I discovered it wasn't an amber light bulb but a bulb condom that goes over a clear bulb almost went emo (¬_\\) slit wrist

^ You can find ways to get it out. IIRC it's either taking a drill and drilling a lot of holes into the orange lens and then cracking it into tiny pieces and shaking them out. Or you could bake the light open and take the lens out.
