Not all LS400 the same everywhere !!
I have come across a LS400 rear hub with the hole for the ABS sensor not machined out !!
This means no ABS !!
Have seen two rear ends with this now , both cars where imported privately into Australia from England [ came with the owner ] , how about that !!
A lower spec LS400 with no ABS , I'm stunned and shocked !!!!

Well Pure that's what I thought .
No LS would come without ABS , BUT I have had that hub in my hands and seen the wreck that it came from , the blank is in the hub , just no hole . The thread for the little screw that holds the sensor in place was there , but no big hole for the sensor...go figure .

My early 90's U.K./European LS400 owners manual seems to indicate that ABS was standard in the U.K. and Europe.
But it is hard to tell what was sold in Asian markets and it is very possible that there was a low spec LS400 or Celsior without ABS. Since richonenz is in Australia, it is more likely that he will see some parts meant for Celsior's sold in Asia.
Even the original LS400 sold in the U.S. was fairly low spec in standard equipment. My 1990 LS400 had a cloth interior which was much more common in Asian models. Floor mats and keyless entry were options in 1990 and I had to pay extra for those options.
Car manufacturers sometimes sell some very low spec cars in emerging markets. I remember being surprised when I found that Mercedes was selling a 260S in eastern Europe and Asia in the 1980s - that's a big S-class sedan with a little tiny 2.6 litre engine.
