Order the electrical manual also, you may need it latter too. $26.99
I paid ~$90 for two volume for my SC400 from a mechanic friend ordered through a Lexus dealer near DC area.

Shop Manuals for 1991 LS 400
I Have a 1991 LS400 and was looking for shop manuals but could not find any of the after market available. I came across this company books4cars.com (206) 721-3077, and they had in stock the original manufactures manuals, two volumes what ever you want to do, it is in there. They were a little pricey $ 160 but I have enjoyed have all the information the dealer has.

I had a '93 LS400 and when I purchased it the individual gave me what I think you are referring to. Are these the two books that cover the entire car - each about 3-4 inches thick? I may still have them around the house if you (or anyone else) is interested.

(in the US). If you just need info such as a specific wiring diagram
(wipers, radiator fan,
power windows, locks, headlamps, ignition system, etc.) or a repair
procedure (timing belt R&R, brake information, water pump removal, code
extraction, etc.) or a vacuum diagram, etc. you can request that from us
at http://www.4door.com/emform.htm Cost is $19.95 for up to 10 pages
emailed or faxed or $20.95 for US Mail.
Any page over 10 is $1.50 per page. Thank you.

I called directly to Toyota (In California) , not a dealer, and was able to purchase my full set of shop manuals delivered to my home with a 90 day return option. No problem.
