So I found myself having an extra remote transmitter key...
I've picked up a remote key that i planned on having for my 94 LS.
Unfortunately, after I got it home I realised that it has a different fcc id from my originals.
I'm wondering if this key can be used on my car or if i need to find a different key that has the same fcc id as my originals...
Thanks

Unfortunately you'll have to get the key blade and have that cut
However i think you can get the key itself on ebay for pretty cheap
Whatever happens tho it'll be cheaper than the freaking $300 the dealer would charge you.

Still have this transmitter?
I would like to buy it off you if you still have this key with the transmitter HYQ1512A. Mine got damaged a few years ago, and I need a new one asap (from 9-28-2017) so I can get into my car without using the door keys as both the driver side, and passenger side have both jammed up over the past year. I'm lucky enough the passenger's side door lock moves 2 or 3mm, just enough to unlock to passenger door somehow and has been working like this for a month so I can still get into the car. If anyone else has one, please let me know. I would be interested in buying it.
