Default 93 LS400, 65k miles, $9000? Good?

Hey everybody, I just bought a 93 ls400 as the title of the thread states. Is this price good? The car is one owner (as 65000 miles suggest). Excellent condition. Very very minor wear and tear outside. Inside is flawless. No tears, etc. Carfax clean w/no accidents. car was owned in NC and then Florida so probably no undercarraige rust.
So was it a good buy?

personally i think 9gs is a little too steep. but at least u found yourself a clean celsior. i paid 9g's for mine as well. 96' LS400 with 70k miles at the time. now lets see you put in some work on it.

If you can knock a few hundred more, or even $1K off the price, I'd say its great considering the mileage and condition.

I wouldn’t even get close.

For 9G's, you can get a more current LS, or GS. The car is over 13 years old. Regardless of mileage.

Most I would pay would be $6K, and I’ve been keeping up with the market these days.

Thats rather high. I say keep looking or try to bargain down. You can get that car down to at least 7.5K. I wouldn't pay a dime more. You should be able to get it down even lower.

And that is assuming the maintenance has been kept up. Go to Lexus and pull the vehicle history report to see what was done by the dealers. Also definitely get it inspected.

Man,
Sorry to rain on your parade, but you could have had a 98 for that money.
I don't care how good the car looks, but you bought a 13 y/o car for 9K!
Also, Florida is notorious for milage rollback due to slack laws of titling cars. I have a car dealer friend there, so I know. They'll roll back 100K and you will never know it.
A little elementary school math...
65000/13=5000 per year
5000/12=417 per month
417/4=104 per week
104/7=14 per day

I've never seen a car driven this little.
Alternately, it probably just sat there for month at a time, which is not good for the car either.

And here is the ultimate test of how good a deal you've got...
Try (or imagine) selling it for 9K...

In any case, If the car is in as good a shape as you think it is, it will give you many years of trouble-free service.
Enjoy it no matter how much you paid

I dont think thats a great price.. The low mileage is fantastic but the price for a 93 is not.. I mean, I have been trying to sell my 93 LS for 5k and I havent found a buyer..
